Easy Life Solutions Announces New Test Results
Showing that Re-Mov® Toxin Eliminator Removes
Harmful Formaldehyde from Air

Sarasota, Florida — Easy Life Solutions, Inc. announced today that independent testing conducted by Advanced Chemical Sensors, Inc. of Boca Raton, Florida has conclusively demonstrated that Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator can remove harmful formaldehyde from the air.  The tests were supervised by Advanced Chemical Sensors’ Laboratory Director, Laurence D. Locker, Ph.D.  Air that had been contaminated with a concentration of 5.4 ppm formaldehyde vapor was passed through a filter that had been treated with Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator.  After the contaminated air passed through the treated filter, no formaldehyde was detected.

“This is a strong validation of the effectiveness of Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator,” said Don Lafreniere, President of Easy Life Solutions.  “Now we have independent confirmation from a respected third-party laboratory of what our own testing has repeatedly demonstrated.”

The Growing Concern about Formaldehyde

The dangers of formaldehyde perhaps first came to the attention of the general public in the months after Hurricane Katrina.  Complaints began coming in at an alarming rate from the residents of the trailers provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  Subsequent testing showed that most of the trailers, which were being used as temporary living quarters by persons displaced from their homes by Katrina, had dangerously high levels of formaldehyde, an acid gas and proven carcinogen generated by typical synthetic household products such as carpeting and furniture.

More recently, it was found that mobile homes provided by FEMA to victims of flooding in Cedar Rapids, Iowa were contaminated with levels of formaldehyde higher than Iowa state standards.

The concentrations of formaldehyde used in the Advanced Chemical Sensors test were significantly higher than those found in the Katrina and Cedar Rapids mobile homes.

As homes, recreational vehicles (RVs), travel trailers, offices and commercial spaces have become better insulated and more energy efficient, they have also become more toxic.  Keeping out heat and cold has also meant that fresh air is often prevented from entering, especially during the most intense periods of the heating and cooling seasons when windows tend to be shut.  At the same time, more and more everyday items have become sources of harmful acid gases like formaldehyde.  Carpeting, window treatments, paints, toys, furniture and synthetic clothes are just some of the items that can generate airborne formaldehyde and other dangerous acid gases.  Formaldehyde contamination poses special challenges for manufacturers and owners of RVs, travel trailers and mobile homes.

About Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator

Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator is a breakthrough product that removes harmful levels of formaldehyde and other toxic acid gases from living-, vehicular- and working-space environments.  When filters treated with Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator are placed in homes, vehicles and workplaces utilizing forced-air heating/cooling systems, Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator removes these gases and other toxic chemicals quickly and effectively as the heating/cooling system operates in its normal manner.  Easy Life Solutions is in the process of developing a line of air filters treated with Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator.

Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator is the result of a proprietary, patent-pending formula developed by a noted, retired, Ph.D chemist.  Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator is non-volatile and contains unique chemical groups that react with formaldehyde and other toxic acid gases, removing them from the air as it passes through the treated filter.  In situations where very high levels of formaldehyde are present, it is best to allow the heating/cooling fan to run continuously.  After about 60 days of use, Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator ceases to trap formaldehyde and other acid gases at effective levels.  The health and air quality benefits provided by Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator can be prolonged indefinitely by replacing the Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator air filters at the recommended intervals.

Air filters treated with Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator exhibit properties not available in any other filters.  Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator reacts with formaldehyde, phenols, and isocyanides as well as with acidic gases such as acetic acid, hydrochloric acid, NO2, SO2, SO3, HX, NOX, SOX, H2S, isocyanates and hydrogen halides.  Previous in-house testing has also indicated that Re-Mov Toxin Eliminator has anti-microbial properties with effectiveness against various bacteria including staphylococcus aureus.
